Slime Care

(otherwise known as “how to keep your slime happy”)

Your slime may arrive sticky due to the weather as it could be affected by cold or hot temperatures. Before you start playing with it test the consistency by poking it with one finger. If it is too sticky you may need to add a few drops of activator to restore it to its former wonderful self (see instructions below).

Whoa, my slime has deflated! Slimes can deflate over time; it can be inflated by using a small amount of shaving cream (please not that none of our slimes use shaving cream as an original ingredient). Be aware that this action could change the texture of your slime.

STICKY OR MELTED SLIME

Add a few drops of activator to the slime and slowly start kneading it in to the slime. Be very careful that you do not add too much activator in as this will result in a rigid slime which will no longer be stretchy and awesome.

HARD OR STIFF SLIME

If your slime arrives stiff it is likely due to a cold environment. Store the slime in a warm place or drop it into some warm water (while it is sealed tightly in its container) for a few minutes. Or you can dig in and warm it up by playing with it in your hands.

ACTIVATOR

Mix the included packet of borax with 1 cup of warm water until dissolved. Add only a drop or two of activator at a time when trying to correct a sticky or melted slime. Adding too much activator will ruin your slime and turn it into a hard glob. For the remaining activator put it to the side for future use.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT:

You keep slime away from small children and/or animals. Slime is NOT edible. DO NOT EAT SLIME!!!

Always keep slime in an airtight container when not in use as it will dry out very quickly if left uncovered. We recommend you store the slime in its original container when you are not playing with it.

Always wash your hands before and after playing with your slime. Dirt will make your slime sad.

Do not let slime come into direct contact with wood, polished surfaces, carpet, furniture, clothes, etc.

Slime has a limited life span and will degrade over time. To maximize your slime life potential follow the above recommendations.
